FARGO - It was a tough winter for runners in the Upper Midwest training for the Fargo Marathon. At least the weather on race day is not expected to follow suit.

FARGO - Fargo. Bismarck. Grand Forks. Minot. West Fargo. On Saturday morning, the next largest city in North Dakota will be congregated on the Main Avenue Bridge between Fargo and Moorhead when runners line up for the Fargo Marathon events.

GRAND FORKS - Marathon runners need energy from foods that can be easily and quickly metabolized, and they need hydration to prevent overheating, said Jennifer Haugen, registered dietitian at Altru Health System.
