JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Union freshman John Luther captured the men's most outstanding athlete award at the 2011 Appalachian Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, which was held today at Sidney Smallwood Track. As a team, both Union men's and women's teams finished second overall at the meet.

The DSU men took first place at the 8-Killometer course in Yankton, S.D. with a team score of 37 on Saturday, Oct. 20.
