Kayla Roemmich – Senior – Bottineau, North Dakota – Discus
Kayla will compete in her second NAIA National Meet in the Discus.  Kayla qualified at Dickinson on Friday, May 10, with a career best throw of 140' 9" – currently ranked 18^th in the NAIA.   Kayla also won the shot put in her last meet, but came up short of the qualifying mark in that event.  Kayla's best shot put of the season was 42' 8 ¾" – only one inch short of the qualifying standard. Kayla ranks 7^th in the Jimmie career list and the Discus and 6^th in the Shot Put.  Kayla has been an amazing 2-sport athlete in her Jamestown College career – as a 4-year regular on the Jimmie basketball team in addition to her track & field exploits.  Kayla graduated on May 11 and will be a first year teacher in the Fall in Stanley, North Dakota. The discus event begins on Saturday, May 25 at 3:00 pm.
