[Women's Cross Country] Reyes Wins and Leads UJ Women XCPublished by
University of Jamestown senior standout Aleona Reyes is picking up right where she left off. The NAIA All-American from Belen, N.M., won the Valley City Invitational for the second time in three years on Friday. She covered the 4,000-meter course in 15 minutes, 56 seconds, pulling away after a mile in and leaving the rest of the competition well off in the distance. "Aleona ran pretty much as expected and ran a smart, conservative race early on — especially with the heat index where it was," JC women's cross country coach Jim Clark said. "I think Aleona is as fit as she has ever been. I think on a cooler day, she was ready to run a much faster time." Read the full article at: www.JimmieAthletics.com
