[Men's Track & Field] Tenney and UJ Men Test Quality Competition

Quality competition doesn't appear to faze the Jimmie indoor track and field teams.
At the Thundering Herd Classic at the Bison Sports Arena on Friday, Garrett Tenney broke his own record in the weight throw.
Tenney bested a field of primarily NCAA Division I and II throwers with a mark of 53-feet, 9.75-inches (16.40 m) to win the event and come within just four inches of qualifying for nationals.
"He deserves to go to nationals," coach Ed Crawford said. "He's a pretty dedicated kid, going through track workouts and football workouts. Hopefully, he can get there. He keeps improving."
