[Women's Track & Field] Keary Stanger signs with the University of Jamestown[Track & Field] Seven Jimmies at NAIA National Outdoor Meet[Men's Cross Country] Michael Sampers signs with University of Jamestown

University of Jamestown women's track & field coach, Jim Clark, announced that Keary Stanger, who will be a 2014 graduate of Ada-Borup High School in Ada, Minnesota, signed a North Star Athletic Association Letter of Intent and plans to participate in Track & Field for the Jimmies.   

 

Keary is the daughter of Tina and Joe Stanger of Ada. 

Keary is looking at Pyschology, Biology, or related fields at the University of Jamestown.              

Seven Jimmie Track & Field athletes will compete in the NAIA National Meet Thurs. May 22 to Sat. May 24, 2014, in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

 

For the Jimmie Women, Emerald Gyuricza made the qualifying mark in the pole vault, Micki Glass in the high jump, and two women made the 3000 Steeplechase standard:  Aleona Reyes and Samantha Goff.

 

For the Jimmie Men, Garrett Tenney hit the qualifying marks in two events (hammer throw and discus), while Nathan Willer made the discus event at the NAIA National Meet.  Another Jimmie student-athlete qualified in the 26.214 mile marathon ... From Anoka-Ramsey, MN, (drum roll please):  Connor Doppler.

University of Jamestown head men's track and field and cross country coach Ed Crawford announced that Michael Sampers of Rosemount, Minn., signed a Letter of Intent to enroll at University of Jamestown and participate in cross country and track for the Jimmies beginning in the 2014-15 school year.

He will graduate this spring from Rosemount High School.
