[Men's Track & Field] Jimmies Rack up Nine Top Three Finishes

Comments

Jamestown College didn't have an event winner, but the Jimmies still piled up points thanks to nine top-three finishes. As a team, they were third with 113.5 points, falling just behind the University of Mary, which was second with 114.83 points. DSU (238.33) won the meet.

The Jimmies were led again by their throwers and hurdlers including three in the top five in both the shot put and discus.

Jesse Hacker's shot put of 14.12 meters was second, while Bradley Brooks (fourth) and Michael Brousseau (fifth) rounded out the top five. Mike Findlay was second in the discus with a 45.86, while Brooks was third and Garrett Tenney was fifth. Findlay and Brooks threw lifetime bests, as did Colton Harkins (third) and Kevin Moore (fourth) in the javelin.

JC scored a bunch of points in the hurdle races, with Trent Roemmich's time of 15.45 seconds placing second in the 110. Brother Scott Roemmich was fourth and J.T. Petsch and Kaleb Garcia finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Garcia's time of 55.70 seconds in the 400 hurdles was good for second, while Scott Roemmich (fourth), Petsch (sixth), Derek Roemmich (seventh) and Devin Braaten (eighth) all placed as well.

JC's Joe Ikier was a three-event placer, taking third in the triple jump, third in the pole vault and sixth in the long jump.
