Bradley Brooks easily spun the discus past the required 155-foot mark to earn his trip to Indiana. Brooks had been getting closer each meet after not throwing earlier in the season due to a knee injury

Also Monday, Joe Ikier cleared 14-6.5 in the pole vault, a half inch better than his previous best.

Throwers Garrett Tenney and Michael Brousseau also took advantage of the extra meet.

Tenney broke the school record in the hammer throw with a launch of 162 feet.

Brousseau sent the hammer out 154-6, 10 feet better than his previous best mark.

The Jimmies took just 13 athletes to Moorhead. The full team heads for the Howard Wood Relays Friday and Saturday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
