[Women's Track & Field] Solid Finish For SkipperPublished by
Sarah Skipper closed out the heptathlon with three solid efforts to finish ninth in the heptathlon at the NAIA national championships in Marion, Ind., on Friday. The junior from Lewiston, Mont., finished up with solid marks in the long jump, javelin and 800 (2:32.35) meter run to finish ninth overall with a score of 4,537 points. Skipper, a junior, finished ninth out of the 16 competitors. "She finished strong and had a really strong score at nationals," JC women's coach Jim Clark said. "It was a good effort all the way around. She competed hard and made a very good account of herself."
